I couldn't find any of the usual stairways down, just the ladders.
All but one of those are welded shut, as usual; the one used to be
wide open, but now it is chained.
Everything is rusting away - this is a high-moisture location.

California's Gold
did a show about Angel Island - #408 - which included a segment on this site.
Access: one of
two
ferrys to
Angel Island;
walk or bike the perimeter road to the
south-east side near Point Blunt.
There's a fence with an "UNSAFE STRUCTURES" sign, but you can just
step around it.
