TARGET TRACKING RADAR AZIMUTH POSITION

An Azimuth operator is seated at his tactical position at the Target Tracking Radar (TTR) console located in the Radar Control Van. He is adjusting the brightness and focus on his individual "A" scope for normal operation. In a tactical situation the Elevation and Range operators would be seated to his left and right respectively, each with an "A" scope and the hand controls for manually positioning on to a designated hostile aircraft.

Just above the Azimuth operator's position are the Elevation and Azimuth angle error meters. At the top of the large door, just below the ventilators in the van ceiling are the Battery Control "Condition of Readiness" lamps.
