Located in Merrymount Park in the Wollaston section of Quincy ten miles south of Boston. This site was built by the Army Corps of Engineers specifically as a Nike headquarters facility. The site is located in a built-up area adjacent to municipal parkland.

Location
Merrymount Park, Southern Artery, Wollaston section of Quincy.

Present Status
Site became an Army Reserve Center in 1964. Company C (Supply and Transportation) and Company D (Maintenance), 187th Support Battalion, occupied the site from Jul 64 to Sep 72. HHD, 187th Support Battalion also occupied the site from Feb 66 to Sep 72. HHC, 187th Infantry Brigade (Separate), occupied the site from Sep 72 to Sep 76. After Sep 76 site no longer USAR site; Site visited 2 May 99. Present use- City of Quincy Richard J. Koch Family Park and Recreation Complex.
