Located in northern Rhode Island, ten miles from Providence, North Smithfield  was the Rhode Island Army Guard's only Nike Hercules site.

IFC: North Smithfield Air National Guard Station, SAEJ. On 1 July 1971 the site became an RI ANG station and is still active in that capacity.

Operational with Hercules 23 Jan 60.
